Ace Ruele

Ace Ruele

From being sentenced to 8 years in prison, to achieving success as an actor in film, TV and video gaming

Ace Ruele is a professional Actor/Movement Specialist, and a Mentor and Coach in personal development. Growing up, Ace had his heart set on being a Hollywood Actor but got caught up in the street life. This resulted in him being sentenced to eight years in prison for robbery with an imitation firearm, and he served four and a half years from October 2007 to April 2012. Once released from prison, Ace wasted no time on getting his life back and following his dreams as an actor, and to date, Ace has been featured in a few well known titles. These include 'The Legend of Tarzan', 'Brotherhood' and Eastenders. He has worked on video games titles, such as 'Planets of The Apes Vr' and 'The Inpatient' as a motion capture actor and has been featured in commercials for brands, such as Bose headphones and Nescafe.

Going to prison was a transformative experience for Ace as it gave him the space and time to reflex and evaluate his whole life. He learned to let go of the desire to live up to a particular image of being a youth from the streets and being “tough”. Instead, he turned his attention to the things he had always loved, such as psychology, quantum physics and spirituality - things that were deemed as “not cool” during his street life days.

The breadth of knowledge gain, combined with his story of going to prison and his success as an actor, has enabled Ace to be able to work with people who may be going down the wrong path or who are overwhelmed with low self esteem. Some of the organizations that been associated with his work include the Metropolitan Police, Hackney Cvs, Brent Council, Alra Drama School, Greater London Authorities and various schools around London. Ace Ruele is proof that your path doesn’t have to determine who you are and anything can be achieved once you've decided it’s a must to attain it.

The session is focused on how Ace Ruele made his transition from a negative life to a positive one and how to create self value. This will include:

Testimonials from Teachers

"The aim of the event 'No Knives Better Lives' is to get young people who are at high risk of offending, and in particular those committing knife crime offences. Ace has been an intrinsic part of the success to this presentation. He is extremely engaging, he is able to identify with young people, and he offers a different way of thinking about the world, and how people can stop offending.

The last Presentation had 8 young people attend from Barnet, of which only 1 has re-offended. This is clearly having a positive influence on many young people across a broad section of young people within North West London. Ace is always punctual, and he is always ready to assist in trying to prevent young people from offending. Ace came highly recommended to ourselves from the work that he has completed in Schools, where I have no doubt he has given a positive influence to several lives and has helped reduce knife crime in the North West area of London."
