Behind every uniform, every diagnosis, and every family crisis, there is a story—and Stacey's is one of resilience, truth, and turning life’s hardest experiences into something that can help others.
For nearly two decades, Stacey has served as a female police officer with the Metropolitan Police Service, dedicating her career to protecting vulnerable people, safeguarding communities, and supporting victims through some of the darkest moments of their lives. Her work has taken her from frontline policing and emergency response to dealing with victims of serious sexual offences, domestic abuse, and child abuse—roles that demanded not only professionalism and courage, but genuine compassion, resilience, and the ability to connect with people during their most traumatic experiences.
But Stacey's understanding of trauma, mental health, and survival does not end when the uniform comes off.
For over 20 years, her family has lived through the devastating impact of addiction and serious mental health struggles as her brother battled drug dependency and ongoing mental health crises. She has experienced first-hand what it means to love someone who is fighting addiction, to watch a family be pushed to emotional breaking point, and to face the painful reality of having to make life-changing decisions—including having him sectioned on more than one occasion when his safety was at risk. It has meant witnessing first hand the emotional, financial and physical strain addiction and mental illness can place on families. Stacey has also lived the exhausting battle of trying to access support through mental health services, often feeling like families are left to hold everything together while desperately searching for help.
Alongside this, she is a single mother raising a neurodiverse child while navigating her own late diagnosis of ADHD in her 40s. That diagnosis answered questions she had carried for years—about why balancing motherhood, a demanding career, and everyday life often felt harder than it appeared for others. It also gave Stacey a deeper understanding of her child, of herself, and of the invisible struggles so many people carry behind closed doors.
Combined with counselling qualifications and years of safeguarding experience, her professional knowledge and personal journey allows her to speak with honesty, authenticity, and lived understanding on issues that truly matter—mental health, addiction, trauma, neurodiversity, resilience, and family life.
Stacey doesn't speak from textbooks - she speaks from frontline experience, from family battles, and from a life that has taught her that our struggles do not define us… what we choose to do with them does.
