Dedicated lifelong educator and Ofsted inspector

Ron Cohen, B.A (Hons), PGCE, M.Ed., is a highly experienced and dedicated lifelong educator, with nearly 50 years of educational expertise in schools and colleges, For the first twenty-five years of his career, Ron was a teacher; head of department, senior leader, lecturer, and DofE Specialist Schools Assessor.

For the last 22 years, Ron has been an Ofsted Inspector, and from 2005, until his retirement from Ofsted at the end of 2015, an Ofsted Lead Inspector. Ron led over 200 inspections of schools, both secondary and primary, in both the state and independent sectors.

Ron opened his own educational consultancy in 2005, and his consultancy work has continued to grow. He has an exceptional track record. His clients include schools, colleges and academies. In June of this year, Ron was asked to speak at both The Festival of Education, and The Festival of Skills. He has also spoken at seminars and training events for some of the country’s leading training organisations.

Ron’s experience and expertise, mean that Ron can bring practical solutions and professional advice to your organisation. He knows what inspectors will be looking for. He understands the pressures that schools and colleges are under, and he offers high level, quality consultancy, education development, improvement and support.
