James Mason was asked to manage his expectations when he had dreams of becoming a professional footballer as a child.
Undeterred when he was told he wasn't good enough he dedicated his life to becoming a TV football reporter and one day running a professional football club! He managed both whilst building a successful business before selling it.
James was a sports reporter on TV and Radio for the BBC and Sky sports. He also interviewed some of the world's biggest names and covered Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and more! He also went on to become the CEO of Bradford City which meant he ran the club and even made a final at Wembley Stadium and beat Chelsea 4-2 at Stamford Bridge. James also worked in the USA, China and Middle East as a football agent.
He is now a successful CEO, regularly advising the Government on matters of the economy. Sharing anecdotes from his career and attitude to life, James explains how failure is a prerequisite to success, using humour and inspirational messaging throughout.
Having had a career in professional sport in the Boardroom and behind the microphone, James takes the listener on a privileged journey with humour and humility.
Now a Chair of two charitable organisations James is keen on inspiring citizenship in the young generation and as an avid campaigner for Dementia awareness, he shares stories of his mother's own illness to seize every opportunity life throws at you.
