Gianni Frankis is a former GB International in the 110m hurdles. His career started at Basildon Athletics Club when he was 14 years old after teachers at his school discovered he had a talent in the sprint hurdles. After leaving school and meeting his current coach, Tony Jarrett, he rose quickly through the ranks breaking British junior records and winning medals at World and European junior levels. At 19, he went on to the funding programs led by the governing body and first represented at senior level in 2009 world championships in Berlin. In an injury littered career spanning 10 years, Gianni competed in many international competitions and was one of the leading British hurdlers throughout.
Gianni believes it is important to share his knowledge, experiences and expertise attained in his career and is an experienced speaker of all ages whether it be at schools, sports clubs, colleges/universities, businesses and others.
Gianni is also active in the political sphere appearing on many panel discussions and events. He draws on his experiences as a professional athlete to motivate, inspire and educate.
