Catherine Capon — Wildlife Storyteller | Ecotourism Advocate | Conservation Communicator.
Catherine Capon is a nature-loving explorer, ecotourism advocate, and wildlife storyteller with a passion for helping young people reconnect with the wild world around them. With a background in ecology and zoology from Imperial College London, Catherine has spent over two decades working at the intersection of environmental storytelling, conservation, and ethical travel. Her talks are vibrant, hope-filled journeys through jungles, oceans, and savannahs — inspiring children to protect the planet by falling in love with it first.
As a presenter and speaker, Catherine shares stories of real adventure: swimming with great white sharks outside the cage, tracking wild orangutans through Borneo’s rainforests, and whispering to wolves under the stars. She believes that wildlife has the power to awaken our empathy, courage, and creativity; especially in young minds. With warmth and humour, Catherine brings these wild experiences into the classroom, helping students see themselves not as separate from nature, but as part of it.
Catherine is a trusted voice in the world of conservation. She is a trustee of The European Nature Trust and The Big Blue Foundation, using her platform to champion biodiversity on land and in the sea. Her digital presence reaches tens of thousands through storytelling that connects people to purpose-led brands, grassroots projects, and eco-innovators around the world.
But perhaps her proudest role is being a mum to two young adventurers. Together, they explore the world — from whale watching in The Azores to forest bathing in the Scottish Highlands. Catherine is passionate about showing the next generation that women can be eco-heroes too — fearless, curious, and wildly protective of the planet.
Her school talks blend science, story, and sensory wonder — encouraging children to look up from their screens and rediscover their place in nature. They leave feeling more curious, more connected, and more empowered to be wild in their own way.
