Barbara is a qualified nurse, midwife, health visitor and teacher with speaking experience in PSCHE, spanning 30 years. After years of health care practice she began teaching in the late 1980s in many different settings. She worked most recently as a senior lecturer at Salford University running public health, sexual health and family planning programmes for nurses, and is passionate about health!
She invented Contraception, the board game, and founded the award winning social enterprise Contraception Education CIC to provide evidence based PSCHE/SRE resources and training.
Barbara works at all levels, with all group sizes and in any location, motivating and inspiring young people, youth workers, teachers and health professionals. She has prepared training days on a variety of sexual health topics but is equally happy developing bespoke materials wherever required.
