Alexandra Dziekonska

Adversity causes some men to break, and others to break records

Born in Poland, Alexandra is an accomplished Marathon Runner and ranked as one of only a few women from her homeland to have run below 3 hours. Her story is one of triumph over adversity through gritty determination to succeed where others would have failed to cross the finish line.

She is credited with running over 20 marathons and has raised thousands of pounds for charity through her work with HSH The Prince Albert of Monaco’s; Peace and Sport Campaign. The work of this international charity serves to support young people in using sport to help heal the communities recovering from civil war or disasters around the world.

Having been spotted by the Duke of Edinburgh charity in New York in 2011 during her speech, Alexandra now shares her life experiences in English, Italian and Polish for audiences in support for DofE Award ceremonies at St James Palace in London.
