She brings lived experience of working and communicating at all levels, from the boardroom to graduate programmes; different geographical cultures and as a business owner herself. In 2025, she conducted research into how poor communication affects productivity, causes costly errors, and wastes valuable time and resources within organisations. This work has led to valuable insights and practical recommendations for leaders to improve internal communication strategies across industries.

When she’s not speaking or coaching, Susan enjoys swimming, playing viola in a local orchestra, performing with an improv troupe, and designing and sewing her own handmade wardrobe. She lives in Hertfordshire and regularly visits Athens to support a refugee charity close to her heart. She also fundraises for Alzheimer’s Society and Isabel Hospice.
