Qualifying with a Joint Hons degree in English & Education Studies, Rebecca has worked for over twelve years with children, young people and professionals in educational and community settings.
Working as the Sex and Relationship Education lead alongside the NHS & Sandwell Healthy Schools Scheme Rebecca has extensive experience designing and delivering sessions around sex education, puberty, hygiene, relationships and birth to Primary & Secondary school pupils, young people, teaching staff, school governors and parents.
Following her work with the NHS, Rebecca then moved to work as a Sexual Health Programme Coordinator for Coventry City Council. This role involved developing a training scheme for staff, parents and youth workers. Rebecca now works across the country delivering sessions on a range of sexual health subjects such as pornography, sexting, Child Sexual Exploitation, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Contraception & Sexual Health.
As a qualified CIPD trainer, with qualifications in counselling and a RCN certificate in sex education, her academic knowledge teamed with experience ensures she is both knowledgeable and confident to teach, train and advise in the field of sex and relationships education.
Rebecca has recently published a resource with Optimus Education entitled 'Sex & Relationship Education in Primary Schools' and has spoken on Victoria Derbyshire about the importance of age appropriate sex & relationship education in schools.
