Izzie is a mindset
strategist, whose love of all things positive psychology and neuroscience, has
led her to share her findings and passions with others through various forms!
Growing up in a challenging household, Izzie was surrounded by people who only
knew how to react, not how to respond to situations. This led to a subconscious
obsession with the human mind; how people react to the same things in different
ways, and how - through knowledge and practice - we can train our minds to see
things in a new, more empowering way.
Izzie experienced both depression and panic attacks in her late teens, and
despite an outwardly successful 3 years at University, she hit rock bottom
after a situation which led her to see herself as a victim, consequently losing
her job, relationship, friends, mental and physical health. Since then, Izzie
has been on the hunt for simple, yet effective strategies that can help us to
take a proactive approach towards mental wellbeing; taking a step back from
victimhood and instead, move towards self-empowerment. These strategies have
become the premise of Izzie's talks and have been heard by millions already,
via her growing social media presence on Tik Tok, Instagram, podcasts and
various interviews.
Izzie uses a combination of personal stories, thought-provoking, interactive
activities and nuggets of eye opening yet simple and practical neuroscience.
This combination compels her audiences, leaving them with a deep understanding
of themselves, why they do the things they do, and simple actions that will
help them to tap into the person they know they can and want to be.
Izzie has a background in coaching and is trained in Neuro-Linguistic
Programming, meaning that she has an uncanny ability to ask her audience the
right questions - whether an intimate group of three, or a hall of 300! Being
only 24, Izzie has the advantage of being able to relate and connect more
intimately with her young audiences, rather than being seen as another teacher.
Combined with her social media presence (where most young people spend a lot of
their time!) Izzie is able to tap into their world in order to communicate her
vast knowledge in a way that engages and captivates those in front of her.
Much of Izzie's content, whilst relatable and inspiring, is simple and somewhat
obvious. But that's exactly it! None of what we need to have a fulfilling life,
is wholly unknown or difficult. In most cases, we simply need to remind
ourselves of it and implement hacks that will become our habits, then our
behaviours and in turn, enable us to have a fulfilled life.
Finally, Izzie's talks can be geared towards resilience, emotional
intelligence, exams and so forth.
