Hilda Kalap is an expert on anxiety, stress and trauma and how to build mental health resilience. She is a Clinical Practitioner of Eden Energy Medicine and an Advanced Practitioner of Emotional Freedom Techniques teaching how to overcome self limiting beliefs. She is also a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher, an international speaker, female empowerment coach and the author of three picture books including Donna and Dermot on the Move about mindfulness.
Hilda is a powerful teacher and facilitator for primary to sixth form pupils and staff. Her presentations and workshops are interactive and focus on practices that build mental and emotional resilience including gratitude, forgiveness and Emotional Freedom Techniques. They engage students and staff alike and stimulate a new way of thinking and being in the world.
Hilda draws from her personal and professional life – English was not her first language, she was a young carer to an autistic mother, she experienced racism growing up biracial in 70s Britain and is a single parent to two daughters. She has worked as a journalist and communications professional on many campaigns including a global campaign to ban landmines, has travelled to over 60 countries and lived and worked in India and New Zealand.
During her career she has written speeches for many Chief Executives, senior managers, Mayors, politicians and celebrities and given hundreds of media interviews in the press, radio and television.

2) Sessions for teachers - to enable them to:
Learn new techniques and feel more confident delivering lessons on diversity/race/culture; young carers; how to build strong self esteem; bullying; stress management; exam anxiety; fostering gender equality; using coaching to increase collaboration with students and colleagues.
