Jeremy Indika

Changing the narrative on child sexual abuse

Jeremy speaks in schools to students and teachers telling his story of childhood sexual abuse. He takes the audience on a journey that inspires and empowers as he blends his career designing supercars for McLaren, with speaking out for the first time, with trying to prosecute the man that did this. He is getting a phenomenal response everywhere he goes with this, delivering a new way to look at this very dark topic.

Below is an overview of his story.

1. My home settings. How I knew this man. How he groomed me.
2. How it felt during the abuse at 8-years old. How it felt when it finished.
3. My friends. My school life. How I buried everything.
4. My engineering career. My party days. Building a successful life.
5. Flashbacks came at 25. Speaking out for the first time to a friend.
6. Trying to get this man prosecuted. Telling my family about what happened.
7. Going public with my story. Making films and launching a campaign for prevention.
8. Confronting my abuser at his house and how that got me into trouble.
9. How I feel about the abuse now that I’m an adult.

Delivering this real life story, engages the audience and gives them an inspiration to speak up or understand more about the topic.

Jeremy has an age appropriate approach for students and for teachers and staff, he will relate everything back to safeguarding.

This is a very important presentation that is well worth enquiring more about.

Testimonials from Teachers

"Jeremy Indika's talk on his personal experience of child sexual abuse had a profound impact on Sudbury Primary School's staff. His courage in sharing such a sensitive topic created an environment of openness and empathy. The talk served as a poignant reminder that children may react differently to abuse, underscoring the importance of fostering a culture where every child feels comfortable sharing their concerns, no matter how minor. Sudbury Primary School is grateful for the valuable insights gained from Jeremy's talk, reinforcing our commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for all our students. We would recommend all school leaders to book Jeremy to come and raise awareness in their own schools."

– Luke Webber, Deputy Headteacher, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Sudbury Primary School, London

"We were one of the first schools to welcome Jeremy Indika in to share his personal story. Jeremy speaks passionately about his life experiences; pupils from Year 9-11 were completely engaged throughout and asked many questions about a difficult topic.

Jeremy has an excellent manner with pupils and indeed staff. I would welcome him back to talk to pupils again, potentially even to Year 7&8."

– Mr Liam Clarke, Interim Headmaster, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Kingswood House School, Surrey

"I booked Jeremy to speak at our Safeguarding training on our September Inset day for our whole school body. The impact on our staff was huge, with many of them stating it was some of the best training they have ever had! The training was so incredibly powerful which can not be replicated through generic online training. Jeremy was able to take our staff on a journey of what CSA can look like and how we as professionals can ensure we are doing all that we can to keep our pupils safe. I would encourage any DSL or school leader to organise for Jeremy to come and present at their school - it really is an impactful and compelling CPD."

– Georgia Strong, Assistant Headteacher, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Reach Academy, London
