From Casualty to comedy and all matters LGBT, Andy Train can educate and entertain

Born in East Yorkshire, educated in Hull and then qualifying as a Registered Nurse, Andy has worked in Accident & Emergency, Dr's Out of Hours and Out Patients. Latterly training healthcare professionals and others in first aid added to doing a stand-up comedy show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival plus a dash of street theatre Andy has a useful set of skills to draw upon to get a message across to any audience.

Andy is a member of the Resuscitation Council (UK) and delivers training (including anaphylaxis & AED) in a very unique way. After coming out as gay he became a leader for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans community in Hull & East Riding of Yorkshire he can speak about equality and diversity from an LGBT point of view. He is involved with the Gay Pride movement throughout the UK and supports those who continue to work to challenge homophobia and transphobia both in schools, the workplace and society generally.

He has a teenage daughter and is a member of a living history group specialising in first and second World War Homefront. His living statue creation The Gold Man has been performed World Wide and even on BBC's CBeebies.
